The 2nd spring cleanup open to all KCMO residents with two free drop-off sites in south Kansas City for unwanted items will be from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 29.

The previously announced drop-off site in the east parking lot of Ruskin High School, 7000 E. 111th St., will accept the largest variety of unwanted items including bulky items such as old furniture, leaves & brush, tires with and without rims, trash and household hazardous waste including automotive products such as antifreeze & used oil, batteries, household cleaning products, lawn & garden products such as herbicides & pesticides and paint.

A recently added second free drop-off site will be at Center Academy for Success, 8434 Paseo.  It will accept everything accepted at Ruskin except household hazardous waste.

Another free drop-off event now scheduled to only accept household hazardous waste which is often hard to properly dispose of will be at Ruskin High School on Saturday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to noon.
