Jackson County residents now have another option for paying Personal Property Taxes, which began Monday morning. Jackson County Collections windows inside the Grandview DMV at 1102 Main reopened Monday, August 12th at 8AM.
Grandview has been unable to process any Jackson County Property Tax Payments since April when the County suffered a suspected ransomware attack. Jackson County and the City of Grandview have been working together to reestablish a secure network. Grandview got the green light last week.
Grandview County Collections staff will be able to accept payments, issue receipts, and check account status. Those needing to receive a tax clearance or statement of non-assessment, and update or change account information will still need to go to the Independence Assessment Office.
