The second and final hearing of the year for the 6th Council District Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) is Monday, August 19 at 6 pm at the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library (4801 Main Street). PIAC makes recommendations for funding neighborhood capital improvement projects such as improvements to streets, sidewalks, parks and storm drainage systems.
The deadline for submitting PIAC applications is August 31, and funding for projects approved by the city council will be available for the next city fiscal year beginning May 1, 2025.
Applications will be available at the hearing or by calling 816-513-1062 or emailing piac@kcmo.org.
