On August 7th, Grandview’s Planning Commission approved a preliminary development plan for eight single family homes on a .83 acre parcel located at 13th and 135th streets (west of 71 Hwy). The plans were submitted by Elevate Design + Build, LLC in Blue Springs.

The homes will be built on a parcel of land adjacent to the Calvary Temple Community Church of the Apostolic Faith.  The plan is smaller in scope than a previous one submitted in 2021. That plan would have included demolition of the church, had the church agreed to sell its parcel.

New plans include a back alley through the property that will provide a private drive to each home’s backyard garage.

Grandview Acres has one year to complete the review process before the Commission’s approval expires.
