Waldo small business moves; Business Association expands

By Sara Wiercinski

After 12 years at 7224 Wornall, Quest Wireless will move a few doors down in mid-October. The local cell phone repair business’ new address will be 7234 Wornall, site of the former Waldo Vapes which closed earlier this year.

Quest is adjacent to headquarters of the Waldo Area Business Association, who plans to expand into the space once vacated. Executive Director Sean Anderson says they have grown too large for their current headquarters and plan to host networking events and to rent out the added meeting space to the community. The business association has been in its location since July 2017 and has 362 active members.

Anderson is making plans with building owner Marshal Blount and contractors on changes to the space. He says they hope to have it ready and open in January 2025.

Quest Wireless co-owner John Paul Balthazor says he is glad to have found space closeby and along Wornall Road which helps with visibility. The new location is 300 square feet larger in size. Quest joins the shopping center shared with tenants Cirilla’s (7236 Wornall Rd), Alla’s Tailor (7232 Wornall Rd) and Lynn Nails (7228 Wornall Rd).
