Man fatally shot near 80th and Hickman Mills Drive

This evening, at about 6:00 PM, patrol officers were dispatched to the 8000 block of Hickman Mills Drive on a reported medical nature unknown.

Upon arrival officers located an adult male victim  in the parking lot of a nearby convenience store. The male was suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical staff was ordered to the scene and the victim was subsequently pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Ladhani Zulfiqar, age 64.

This is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the victim being shot. Investigators and crime scene personnel are canvassing the area for physical evidence, witnesses, and any available surveillance footage.
