Snow postpones Tomahawk Creek Parkway closure

Road will close at Town Center Drive on February 19

The City of Leawood announced yesterday it would delay portions of to the Tomahawk Creek Parkway construction project due to snow.

On Monday, February 19, Tomahawk Creek Parkway will close completely at Town Center Drive for work on the traffic roundabout. Vehicles will be detoured to Roe Avenue at 115th Street and 119th Street.

Previous project updates indicated the road closure would begin February 12.

The closure will continue until August.

The major construction project will improve safety and connectivity for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. For more details, see “Leawood to Begin Construction on Tomahawk Creek Parkway,” from February 7.
