Service and funeral procession through Grandview planned for March 13

Following a 24 year career at the Grandview Fire Department, firefighter and paramedic Curt Parker passed away in his home on February 28, following a battle with cancer.

The department and family will honore Parker’s life and years of service at a memorial on March 13 at Abundant Life Church, 304 SW Persels Road in Lee’s Summit, from 11 am to 1 pm.

The service will be followed by a funeral procession past Grandview fire stations No. 1, No. 2 & No. 3, then onto 175th and Mo. Route 291.

“Curt was a dedicated public servant and a caring family man who always prioritized the well-being of those around him,” said Grandview Fire Chief Rodney Baldwin. “He treated everyone at the Grandview Fire Department like family. This helped create a strong sense of community in the department.”
