Lutheran Family and Children’s Services (LFCS) will expand its Home Visitation Services for families statewide, including the Kansas City area.
The free program provides parents with resources to make lasting positive changes in the lives of their children and is coordinated through the Missouri Parenting Partnership Program (MOPPP).
Case workers offer non-judgmental support and can connect families to essential resources, including housing assistance, food banks, and childcare services to help create safe and stable home environments. Services are available to families with children ages 3 and younger, expecting mothers and families living below 185% of the poverty level.
“Every child deserves a strong, caring, and loving family,” said Heather Wall, Director of Parenting Services for LFCS. “Through the Missouri Parenting Partnership Program, we provide parents with the support, resources, and guidance they need to thrive, creating lasting positive change for families in Kansa City and across the state.”
LFCS is one of Missouri’s oldest statewide social services agencies and expanded services to Kansas City in 2022.
LFCS encourages Kansas City-area case managers and social workers to apply to multiple open positions.
