Owner and design enthusiast Porshia Mitchell opened Cocoa Spaces in 2024 as a “micro event space.” The 1,300 square foot gathering room with kitchenette accommodates 50 to 60 people, ideal for a birthday party, shower or celebration. Events have a three hour minimum. There’s an approved list of vendors for decor and sound. Cater or bring in your own food and drinks. Mitchell also hosts workshops, pop-up shops and networking events.

The Industrial Event Venue

The Industrial accommodates up to 160 people and is wheelchair accessible. The space features concrete floors with industrial decor, which can be personalized, along with acrylic chiavari chairs. Hourly and daily rates are available.

The Magnolia Brookside

This 5,000 square feet facility accommodates 175 guests for an indoor event or 150 in the 2,000 square foot outdoor garden area. Decor includes a dance floor made of reclaimed wooden planks. The Magnolia has an approved list of caterers. Guests may bring in their own alcohol though bartenders are provided. Owner Deborah White-bird-Griffith has a background in event planning and owns a second venue in The Crossroads.

8th & Main resides in a historic building in downtown Grandview and has new owners, Jeremiah and Sena Gim. The venue accommodates up to 200 guests for ceremony and reception. The Martin Event Space sits on the grounds of Martin City’s Methodist Church, which was destroyed after the Ruskin Heights Tornado of 1957. The building features wooden arches and vaulted ceilings, incorporating the original church’s building materials. Owner Rachel Long opened in 2024 and offers on-site catering services with buffet or plated options available. There is an open vendor policy for music and additional catering. Bar service is managed in house. Outdoor area accommodates up to 100 guests for a ceremony.
