The KCPD South Patrol Division is hosting the first of its free rain or shine community movie nights with free hot dogs & popcorn this summer on Friday, June 20, showing the family movie Moana 2 with activity and resource tables open at 6 p.m. and the movie starting at 7 in the rear building of the South Patrol Police Campus, 9701 Marion Park Dr.
Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets since limited bleacher seating is available.
The second community movie night of the summer will be on Friday, July 18, showing the movie Monster’s University.
Pop-up Recruiting Event
On Saturday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. South Patrol is sponsoring a pop-up recruiting event for all positions in the police department including officers, desk clerks, dispatchers, maintenance personnel and mechanics The event will be at Christian Charity Church, 11000 Ruskin Way.
Community Anti-Crime Meeting and Resource Fair
A community anti-crime meeting and resource fair that will focus on conflict resolution, preventing domestic violence and other crime prevention strategies will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 26, in the rear building of the South Patrol Police Campus.
