New KCMO City Manager to speak at June 9 South Kansas City Alliance meeting

Jackson County Legislature Chairman DaRon McGee will discuss county budget

New KCMO City Manager Mario Vasquez will explain his top priorities and get input from area residents on what they believe should be the city’s top priorities at a 6 p.m. public meeting Monday, June 9, in the front building of the South Patrol Police Campus, 9701 Marion Park Dr., sponsored by the South Kansas City Alliance.

Also speaking will be Jackson County Legislature Chairman DaRon McGee who will discuss the most important funding priorities in the long delayed county budget for 2025 which is expected to be approved by the County Legislature earlier that afternoon.

South Patrol Commander Major Kari Thompson who will explain recent crime trends in south Kansas City and specific crime prevention strategies persons can take to keep their families and neighborhoods safer.
