Cass Community Health Foundation celebrated the opening of its new dental clinic at 1000 E. Markey Parkway in Belton, Missouri at a May 27 ribbon cutting. The clinic provides oral health services for children and youth up to age 20 in who receive Medicaid or lack insurance.
The Foundation opened the first safety net dental clinic in Belton in 2011. When demand exceeded capacity, the Foundation launched a $5 million capital campaign to fund the new facility. There is a larger lobby and administrative space, and eight dental operatories (up from four).
According to president and CEO Cynthia Randazzo, one quarter of clinic patients come from Grandview and South Kansas City, outside of Cass County.
“This expansion ensures we can continue to meet that growing need with compassionate dental care in a facility these children deserve.”
During the 2024-25 school year, the Foundation completed free dental screenings for 5,638 students in eleven school districts, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, supported by local dentists and 114 community volunteers.
