Funny, physical play is “a delight to watch”

Sylvia is a playful comedy about a couple whose loveable dog encourages them to finally connect. The character of Sylvia the dog is played by Jessica Alcorn.

“Watching her [Alcorn] and the other actors interact with one another in this reality has been a delight to watch,” said Director Korey Childs.

“Dogs have such human characteristics, so seeing how we make our ‘dog’ come to life through staging and discussions of physicality has been a joy.”

The play also stars Shawn Patrick Murphy, Jamie Lin Pratt and Hew McKoy, with assistant direction from Ryan Tucker.

Performances are July 5-12. General admission tickets are $25.

The Arts Asylum is located at 824 E. Meyer Blvd. Parking is free in the adjacent lot. Learn more at www.theartsasylum.org.
