All KCMO residents are invited to drop off their household hazardous waste for proper disposal for no charge from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 19, in the rear parking lot of Ruskin High School, 7000 E. 111 th St.
Items accepted include automotive products such as antifreeze, batteries, motor oil, cooking oil, household cleaners, insecticides & pesticides, lawn & garden products, light bulbs, and paint.
The event was organized by the KCMO city government with the support of 5th District City Councilmembers Darrell Curls and Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw.
