Woman rescued from Indian Creek

It is unknown how the victim became trapped in the water. 

Rescue crews from the Kansas City Fire Department responded to a reported swift water rescue near 103rd and Wornall just before 1 p.m. today. On arrival crews found a female approximately 50 to 75 yards off the bank grasping to a tree in fast flowing water. Rescue crews utilized an inflatable rubber boat (IRB) to navigate their way through the flood water and retrieve the victim. She was brought to shore tired and shaken but uninjured. She was evaluated by on-scene EMS crews but refused further treatment or transport. It is unknown how the victim became trapped in the water.
