Back-to-School Vaccination Clinic held Saturday

Vaccinations are free for children with no health insurance, who are under-insured or eligible for Medicaid.

The Kansas City Health Department is open this Saturday to host a Back-to-School Vaccination Clinic to help families prepare for the new school year.

Saturday, July 26
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Kansas City Health Department – 2400 Troost

Appointments are required for quicker service. Walk-ins are welcome, but please note that you may experience longer wait times.

Call 816-513-6108 to schedule your Saturday appointment. Or, ask about weekday availability if that suits your schedule better.

Regular Clinic Hours

If you cannot make the Saturday appointment, the Health Department is open during the week as well.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
8am – 5pm  (Please check in by 4:30pm)

Wednesday
8am – 7pm

Saturday
8am – Noon

To make an appointment, call the Kansas City, Mo., Health Department at 816-513-6108. While walk-ins are welcome during clinic hours, they are not guaranteed. Please remember to bring your child’s immunization records to the appointment.

Fees

For Kansas City, Missouri Residents: Vaccinations (immunizations) are free for children with no health insurance, who are under-insured or eligible for Medicaid.

Fees for children who do not live in Kansas City, Missouri proper:

  • $15 fee for the first child.
  • $5 fee for each additional child within the same family.

Please Note: There is a fee of $5.00 to obtain shot records.

Vaccinations

The clinic provides the following childhood vaccinations required in the state of Missouri prior to the first day of school:

  • Diptheria (DTaP)
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hib (for influenza type b)
  • Polio (IPV)
  • Measles – Mumps – Rubella (MMR)
  • Meningitis
  • PCV13 (Pneumococcal)
  • Rotavirus (RV)
  • Tetanus
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • HPV (human papillomavirus)

Pfizer COVID Vaccine for children 6 months and older is now available.
