Victim identified in Bannister shooting

The victim has been identified as Kenneth Hutt, a 23-year-old Black male.

Tonight just before 11:30pm on Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 8200 block of Bannister Rd. on a shooting call.

On arrival officers were directed inside the business there where they located an adult male shooting victim unresponsive on the ground. That victim has been identified as Kenneth Hutt, a 23-year-old Black male.

Officers rendered aid to Hutt and summoned Emergency Medical Services to the scene who declared him deceased at the scene

Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim entered the business shortly before the shooting and had an interaction with one or more additional patrons that were also inside the business. That interaction escalated to gunfire and Hutt was struck.

There is no known suspect information at this time and no one is in custody.
