Early no excuse absentee voting will soon open in KCMO for the September 30 special election to consider whether or not to recall and remove from office Jackson County Executive Frank White which requires a majority vote to pass.
Hours and dates for satellite early voting are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays September 16-26 and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, September 27.
In south Kansas City, satellite early voting locations are as follows:
- Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway;
- The Mount Christian Worship Center, 1800 E. 79th St. on the corner of 79th & Paseo; and
- United Believers Community Church, 5600 E. 112th Terr.
Persons also may vote early at the Kansas City Election Board office at 4407 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in the Shops on Blue Parkway during the same times and also on Monday, September 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Jackson County Election Board which administers voting outside of KCMO in Jackson County has not opened any satellite early voting locations in Grandview for this special election.
Based on state law, voters must present a non-expired Missouri driver’s license or nondriver’s license or a document issued by the U.S. government or the state of Missouri with the voter’s name and picture that is not expired or has expired since the last general election.
Also accepted are non-expired photo IDs issued by the U.S. armed forces, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or the Missouri National Guard to current of former members of the U.S. armed forces or the Missouri National Guard.
