Legal Aid of Western Missouri invites the neighbors to celebrate the brand new Neighborhood Development Office at 6285 Paseo with a Block Party on October 1.
From 4 to 6 pm, tour the new facility, watch the unveiling of the public mural on the building wall, enjoy BBQ, beer, ice cream trucks and games.
The ribbon cutting marks the first building purchase in the organization’s 60-year history providing free legal assistance to thousands of Missourians facing poverty.
Program includes remarks from Ryana Parks-Shaw, Kansas City MO Mayor Pro Tem; Alicia M. Johnson, Executive Director, Legal Aid of Western Missouri; Jimmy Fitzner, President, Indian Mound Neighborhood Association; and Charles Kennedy, Sr., President, Tri-Blenheim Neighborhood Association.
