Martin City to host first neighborhood Oktoberfest

Local businesses and restaurants will host family activities and seasonal food specials

Martin City businesses have teamed up to present the first-ever Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 4.

Beginning at noon, local businesses and restaurants will host live music and fall family fun including pumpking decorating, face painting, a costume competition (with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place) and photo backdrops.

Martin City Brewing Company’s seasonal Marzen Lager is the official event beer. Ages 21 and older can try their hand at the Beer Stein Holding Contest.

Collect stamps on an Oktoberfest Shopping Passport by visiting local shops. Collect three stamps and redeem for an Official Oktoberfest in Martin City Event Stein.

Bring the Stein to participating restaurants and receive a special discount to fill it with Marzen Lager (October 4 only).

Local restaurants will offer fall-themed foods and specials and businesses will give away prizes and host additional attractions.

The runners and walkers can turn in early and return to Rosehill Winery & Gardens on Sunday for the inaugural Martin City Wine Run 5K. Finishers receive an event medal. Light wine tasting follows the race (ages 21 and up)
