Third Thursday in October set aside to increase awareness of domestic violence

October 16 is Purple Thursday, a national effort to support victims of domestic violence and raise awareness about its prevalence.

The week of October 13, local businesses AesthetiCareKC (9225 Ward Parkway) Crows Coffee (both Red Bridge and Waldo locations) and LadyCo (314 W. 63rd St.) will offer Rose Brooks purple ribbon buttons to be worn on the 16th in solidarity with survivors.
