The Cleaver Family YMCA will host its 2nd Annual Winter Extravaganza on Saturday, November 15 from 11 am to 3 pm.
The public is welcome to this free event with food, entertainment and lots of giveaways for the upcoming winter season. Local community partners will offer free winter clothing items such as gloves, hats and scarves. There will be free baby supplies, sign ups for a free Thanksgiving turkey, free hair cuts and information related to job training, housing and utilities assistance.
Attendees can enjoy free chili and chili dogs, hot chocolate, apple cider and cookies with live music spun by DJ Groove. The Center High School cheerleaders will make an appearance. Those who are able can sign up to adopt a family for Christmas by assisting with gift giving.
Event is sponsored by the Daughters of Queens #844 and the Girls Freedom Project.
