Jazzy Events opens in Grandview

In time for the holidays, a new event space has opened in the Grandview area. Jazzy Events, a party space for both children and adults, has opened at 12911 S. US 71 Hwy. (near Providence Pizza).

On Friday, November 14, a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Grandview Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate the new business.

Jazzy Events is owned by Jasmine Birmingham, an accountant with an eye for business investments. She formerly ran her event space at Ward Parkway Center but chose to move it closer to home. Adjacent to the event space is a new childcare center that Birmingham also owns. An interior door connects the two businesses, making it convenient for a children’s party space for the daycare.

There are few places in Grandview available for private children’s parties. Birmingham takes advantage of this and offers packaged kids-themed parties, including Princess, Glow-in-the-Dark, Circus, Gaming, Candyland and Canvas Painting. The package includes decorations, games and cleanup and runs around $350 for a 90-minute party. Other options such as catering and entertainment are additional expenses.

Kids-themed party packages are available at Jazzy Event Space.

The space is available for adult events as well, including baby showers, family gatherings, workshops and meetings.

A dark mural of a city scape and a corner bar set-up easily gives the gray-painted space an adult vibe. Room rental starts at $99 per hour.

The space can accommodate up to 80 people.

Jazzy Event Space in Grandview is available as a rental hall for any occasion.

The childcare center next door will open as Miss Mary’s Child Care for ages infant to 12 years old (after school care). Birmingham anticipates a December opening.
