5th District PIAC Meeting @ Hillcrest Community Center

The first PIAC hearing for the 5th Council District which covers most of the eastern part of south Kansas City will be at 6 p.m. Monday, June 16, at the Hillcrest Community Center, and the second hearing will be at 6 p.m. Monday, August 18, at the Southeast Community Center.

The deadline for PIAC applications is August 31, and application forms will be available at the hearings or by contacting the city’s capital improvements program by phone at 816-513-1062 or emailing piac@kcmo.org.

District PIAC hearings are normally attended by the City Council members for those districts and city staff, and it is wise for applicants to bring their neighbors who support their requests and pictures showing the problems the applications are intended to correct to enhance the chances their applications will be approved since there are always more applications for projects than funding available.
