It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Sving @ The Jewish Community Center
Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music honoring the rich legacy of Jewish Big Band leaders and musicians in the golden era of swing and Big Band jazz! ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Sving’ celebrates the contributions of Jewish composers and bandleaders and highlights the sounds that defined a generation. The repertoire features timeless hits by legendary artists including Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, and Willie Smith. A tribute to the cultural heritage of Jewish musicians and the enduring influence they’ve had on American music. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
