Mental Health/Mental Illness Awareness Walk

September 13, 11:30 am   (2.2 mile walk)

Starts at Believers in Glory, 100 Main St., Belton

Finishes at Lord of Love Lutheran Church, 8306 E 171st St

Free

In addition to the walk, the event includes a panel of speakers on the topic of bullying, Belton Police Department officers providing and showing the use of Narcan and Narcan strips (which can detect drug laced additives), music, a skit and vendors. The event is hosted by the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI) Belton support group.

Joining them for the event are Mothers on the Move, Justice and Dignity Motorcycle Riders and 45 area churches. The event is free. No registration is necessary for the walk.
