Carlo Collodi’s beloved tale of a puppet that comes to life gets a new musical treatment in the comic style of Italian Commedia Dell ‘Arte.  The brightly colored costumes of 16th Century commedia, the hilarious slapstick antics, and the exciting musical numbers enhance the timeless tale of a lonely puppet maker who carves a make-believe son out of wood and sees his dreams come true. 19th Century literature, puppetry.
