Before Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, and Sean Hannity, there was Barry Champlain – the controversial radio host at the mic of Talk Radio. Fast-paced and energetic, Eric Bogosian’s incendiary play was a shock to the system in 1987. Offbeat. Outrageous. Today’s media landscape hasn’t dulled the play’s whiplash intensity or hard edge. A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in drama, Talk Radio is the playbook for a generation of shock jocks.
