6th District Spring Cleanup @ Ward Parkway Presbyterian
The spring cleanup conducted by the KCMO Public Works Department and sponsored by 6th District City Councilmembers Andrea Bough and Johnathan Duncan with the cooperation of the South Kansas City Alliance also will feature on site document shredding and acceptance of electronics and home appliances, although fees will be charged for acceptance of some appliances and electronics.
The Ward Parkway site will accept a broader array of appliances and electronics including home appliances containing Freon such as air conditioning units, freezers & refrigerators for $10 and blowers, lawnmowers & trimmers drained of oil & gas for no charge.
It will accept LCD monitors for free, but there will be a $5 fee for CRT monitors & all copiers and printers, a $20 fee for LCD & plasma TVs, a $30 fee for CRT TVs 26 inches or less and a $50 fee for CRT TVs 27 inches or greater & projection TVs.
