Grandview Lady Bulldogs headed to state for the first time in history of the school. They did not leave empty-handed, taking fourth overall.

Grandview Lady Bulldogs take 4th in MSHSA State Finals

The girls ended the season with a 23-8 overall record and a 10-game winning streak up to state finals.

 The Grandview Lady Bulldogs finished their 2025-2026 basketball season taking 4th Place at the MSHSA Class 5 State Finals at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, MO, on March 18.

The girls ended the season with a 23-8 overall record and a 10-game winning streak up to state finals. In the end, the girls lost 64-46 to State Champions Lift for Life Academy (St. Louis) followed by a 57-42 defeat against Marshfield. 

In the Class 5 Quarterfinals held in Belton, Grandview beat Kearney 45-31 on March 21.

Grandview wins the Quarterfinals, sending them to State.

The team finished their regular season as Class 5, District 7 champions with a 9-1 record after a win over St. Michael’s 31-47 on March 7.

On February 24, the team won the Kansas City Suburban Conference Championship.

Team standouts were Carissa Germain, Lariah Tucker, and Lecia Martin. Germain was named Player of the Year by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA). Germain and Tucker were named First Team All Conference in the Kansas City Suburban Conference Blue Division. Martin was named Second Team All Conference in the Kansas City Suburban Conference Blue Division.

Coach Stuart Wright was named Coach of the Year for the MBCA and the Kansas City Suburban Conference Blue Division.

It is the first time in the history of Grandview High School that the Lady Bulldogs have made it to state competition. 

Coach Wright was named Coach of the Year by two different organizations.
