The Hickman Mills School District is hosting its annual Family Summit complete with a health fair, job fair and kids’ zone plus free food and lots of giveaways from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Smith-Hale Middle School, 9010A Old Santa Fe Rd.
The health fair will feature a dental clinic courtesy of Hope Dental, health checks and vaccinations including flu shots and school immunizations, and the job fair will have representatives of area businesses that are now hiring.

The kids’ zone for children from pre-kindergarten age through the 8th grade will include entertainment provided by LINC, the Local Investment Commission.
Several area organizations that can provide assistance such as free legal aid and help with food, rent and utility bills and that can offer resources such as adult education classes to district families also will be represented at the free event.
