The El Maguey at 13612 Washington Street is going all-out for Cinco de Mayo this year, with a parking lot party featuring bounce houses, a mechanical bull and face painting. There will be all-day margarita specials and free t-shirt giveaways.

Last month the restaurant installed several large pineapple-shaped metal chandeliers. Gerardo Jaime, who co-owns the restaurant with his cousins, said they shipped from Guadalajara, Mexico.
El Maguey opened in December 2020, and is one of several dozen family owned franchises of the same name throughout Missouri.

We love el Maguey. My favorite is tilapia with mango sauce, fabulous roasted vegetables cooked perfectly & rice. I also like the loaded fajita baked potato. So many great choices. And the margaritas are outstanding.
