Season passes at The Bay cost same as one day at Oceans of Fun

The water park opens Memorial weekend. Season discounts available through May 21.

For about the same price, swimmers can enjoy an entire summer at The Bay or just one day at a major themed water park. 

 

Discount Deadline for Water Park Passes

The KCMO Parks and Recreation Department has extended the deadline through Monday, May 21, to get deeply discounted season passes for The Bay Water Park, 7101 Longview Rd. The water park opens on Saturday, May 26.

Through May 21, season passes for persons 48 inches in height or taller are only $45. Passes go up to $69 after that. For children less than 48 inches in height or for seniors 60 years of age or older, the passes are only $35, and they go up to $59 after May 21.

Persons may purchase season passes at Hillcrest Community Center and pick up a photo ID there. For buying online passes or more information, see kcparks.org/places/the-bay-water-park or call 816-350-2628.

Daily admission rates are $5 for persons 48 inches in height or taller, $4 for seniors, $3 for children under 48 inches in height and free for children age one or younger.

The Bayrider is the only surf simulator in the area. 

The Bay features a six-lane lap pool, zero depth entry leisure pool, water playground, family slide, two tube slides, swirl bowl slide, lazy river with waves and the BayRider surf simulator, as well as an adjoining sprayground and playground with free admission.

It also offers birthday, family and other party packages; lazy river walking; surfing instruction; splash and play events for families with young children; lifeguard classes; and swimming lessons.

The water park is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday-Sunday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on holidays. When classes begin for the Hickman Mills School District on Aug. 14, the Bay is only open on Saturdays and Sundays until Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 3, after which it closes for the season.
