Kids Extravaganza

A Kids Holiday Extravaganza from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Saturday, November 24, at Landmark 2 Skate Center, 701 SE Oldham Ct., in Lee’s Summit is being sponsored by , Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to survivors of homicide victims.

Admission to the community fundraising event which includes skating for persons of all ages is $10, and all donations are welcome.  Persons may email for more information.

Justice4Destiny provides crisis intervention and support, financial assistance for funeral and burial expenses, and grief counseling to families of homicide victims.  It also offers a Words Over Weapons program aimed at reducing gun and gang violence.

The charity was founded by DiHaan Coody after her 25-year-old daughter Destiny Weaver was found murdered inside a vehicle at Tower Park on June 2, 2017.
