Swope Health is celebrating its new Hickman Mills clinic location with an open house and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, January 10, from 4 to 6 pm. Tours, speakers and refreshments will be on hand.
Swope’s Hickman Mills Healthcare Clinic has moved from 8800 Blue Ridge Blvd. to 6406 E 87th St., near the Cerner campus off I-435 and 87th Street. The new healthcare hub will provide more services at the new location, including dental, prenatal and pediatric care.
“We want to provide health care that is accessible, all in one location, and updated,” says Bridget Locke, Director of Strategic Communications at Swope Health. “We are trying to provide health care with the patient in mind.”
In 2022, Swope Health purchased Tenney Pediatrics & Adolescents on the south side of 87th street at 6501 E. 87 St. That followed with the acquisition of the retail strip on the north side of the street which has now been converted into the new clinic.
Swope Health serves 40,000 patients in nine different locations throughout the metropolitan area, providing low-cost and free dental care for adults and children since 1969.
