Pizza Tascio opens 8th location in Belton

By Kathy Feist

It wasn’t that long ago when St. Joseph resident Erik Borger opened his seventh Pizza Tascio in the Waldo area. So many pizzas were sold on that first day that he had to shut the restaurant down early.

So it’s no wonder he has passed the torch to new owners for the eighth Pizza Tascio that opened at 300 N. Scott, in Belton on April 23.

Caleb Lombardino along with his brothers Eli and Gian are now the new owners of all eight Pizza Tascio restaurants. The three have been working with Borger since he opened his first Pizza Tascio in 2020, helping open and manage the locations. In November, they took over his business. (Borger plans to open a new restaurant.)

Six months ago Caleb moved to Belton and soon saw something that caught his eye.

“I saw this spot for lease and thought I would grab the opportunity,” he said. The spot was 700 square feet of a recently renovated import auto center on the west end of town.

Pizza Tascio serves a New York-style pizza. Its ingredients are painstakingly chosen from sources around the country based on quality.

Hours are 11 am – 8 pm Sunday – Thursday and 11 am – 9 pm Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit pizzatascio.com.
