Kansas City fire fighters responded to a reported house fire in the 1100 block of West 76th Street at 7:11 p.m. The first company on scene reported heavy fire from a 2-story home and initiated an offensive fire attack. Crews advanced 2 hose lines to extinguish the flames, and searches throughout the structure came back “all clear”. The fire was reported under control at 7:28 p.m. Companies continued with overhaul operations to expose and extinguish hot spots prior to returning to service. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by KCFD. Dangerous buildings was also ordered.

Red Cross was ordered for 2 adults
No injuries were reported at this incident.

i heard 2 pops when i turned on 76th St. thought i saw a BBQ grill on the porch so thought it must be the propane tanks igniting. 7:10pm Saturday , 16August, 2025
