Brookside Dog Days @ Brookside Shops

Brookside Dog Days is a full day dedicated to dogs and their humans across the Brookside Shops district. Participating businesses roll out treats, giveaways, discounts, and dog-themed promotions throughout the day.

Shopping highlights include free “I Paws KC” stickers at A Store Named Stuff, $10 Mystery Costume Jewelry Doggie Bags at Brookside Jewelry, 50 percent off Hoffmaster dog party supplies at Brookside Party Warehouse, free bandanas and treats at Commerce Bank, and complimentary sunglasses with a $99 purchase at LADYCO (plus a goodie bag for the dog). Paws and Purrvisions offers $5 Treat Flights and a free tennis ball for every dog. Shop Local KC hosts a Charm Bar for custom dog-themed jewelry. Westlake Ace Hardware features Kansas City Dog Treats Co. treats for $8.99 and adds visiting dogs to the in-store Dog Wall.

When it’s time to eat, Red Door Woodfired Grill offers free treats for dogs on the patio, Foo’s Fabulous Frozen Custard has $1 Pup Cups, Nothing Bundt Cakes provides dog treats and a wheel of prizes, and Charlie Hooper’s celebrates Dawg Pound Saturday with hot dogs priced from $2.99 to $4.99.

Brookside Shops has always been dog-friendly territory, with water bowls at storefronts, treats behind most counters, and patios that welcome pups. Dog Days is the district’s celebration of that culture, and a good excuse to spend the day supporting local businesses with a leash in hand.
