Women’s Personal Safety Training @ Kansas City Police Department South Patrol

September 12 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Kansas City Police Department offers a FREE Personal Safety Training focused on awareness, prevention, streetwise precautions, and hands-on self-defense skills. These women’s self-defense classes are free, fun, and filled with safety tactics participants can put to use right away. The training is both lecture and hands-on — physical activity is encouraged but not required. Some participants have found they are more comfortable attending with a friend, so bringing one along is always welcome! This class is for women only, open to females ages 13 and older. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Class is limited to 50 participants. Participants are asked to wear athletic clothing with no buttons or zippers; socks and long sleeve shirts are required. A water bottle and light snack are recommended. Pre-registration is required — call 816-413-3500 or email KCPDRegionalAcademy@kcpd.org. Located at South Patrol Multipurpose Building, 9701 Marion Park Dr., Kansas City, MO 64137.
