KC Fire Department companies were dispatched to a reported fire in the 7600 block of E 79th Street at 1:26 p.m. On arrival, crews reported a 1-story townhome with heavy fire showing. An offensive fire attack was initiated with 2 hose lines advanced into the structure.
Searches throughout were performed and reported all clear. The fire was brought under control at 1:41 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by KCFD. Dangerous Buildings and City Planning have been requested to the scene.
Red Cross has been requested to assist with 1 adult.
No injuries have been reported from this incident.
