Cookies & Creamery now open in Red Bridge Shopping Center

“Local entrepreneurs in the sweet treats community are doing great things and we want to help them shine even brighter.”

You scream, I scream! Kiffany Bosserman, owner and founder of Cotton Tale Cotton Candy, has launched her new ice cream shop, Cookies & Creamery, Friday, May 28. Customers may have already seen the Creamery’s mobile Ice Cream Tricycle out and about at private parties or events. Soon they can pop in the Creamery’s store front for local eats and treats.

Cotton Tale Cotton Candy just celebrated its fourth year of being in business, catering and booking private events to showcase their all-organic cotton candy made on-site. Now Bosserman and her family are taking on the venture of brick and mortar.

“We live in the neighborhood and we work, play, dine, and shop in Red Bridge, so our family having a shop there just really made sense,” says Bosserman. “We also hope to really engage in the community doing fundraisers for schools and organizations.”

Because Bosserman is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and runs a female-owned business,  she is in the process of having Cookies & Creamery become a certified minority-owned business.

The new Creamery will exclusively feature Kansas City food artisans such as Sylas & Maddy’s Homemade Ice Cream from Olathe, Popculture Gourmet Popcorn & Ice Cream located in Parkville, Mary’s Mountain Cookies in Belton, and of course, Cotton Tale Cotton Candy.

“We’re really proud to be uplifting other small businesses in our store,” says Bosserman. “Local entrepreneurs in the sweet treats community are doing great things and we want to help them shine even brighter.”
