The KCMO Police Department and the Greater KC Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline are continuing to seek the public’s help in identifying who is responsible for the August 15, 2018, double homicide of Michael Brewer and Keith Wasmer whose bodies were found in the woods near Longview Lake.
Tips received in the two-year old case indicate the two men had gone to the Longview Lake Marina to meet a man named Sam but never returned. Wasmar’s car was located the next day.
A reward of up to $25,000 is available for any information that leads to an arrest or filing charges in the case. All information is anonymous, and tipsters do not have to testify in court to receive the reward.
All persons with information about the case are urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477) or go online to www.KCcrimestoppers.com.
KCMO Detective Kevin Boehm, the Crime Stoppers Coordinator, said five KCMO homicides have been solved this year through information provided by anonymous tipsters who all received $25,000 rewards.
Goals can be long-term, intermediate, or short-term. The primary difference is the time required to achieve them.
