Aldi Expanding
By John Sharp
Construction is underway on expanding the Aldi grocery store at 10475 Blue Ridge Blvd., and the store will close temporarily for a complete remodeling on Sunday, May 12.
The store will be open on May 11, but the freezer and cooler at the store will shut off at the close of business on May 10.
The store is tentatively scheduled to reopen on June 17, with a grand reopening tentatively slated for July 1.
The expansion and remodeling will allow the store to carry more organic produce and vegan items as well as other products now offered at larger Aldi stores.
