A proposed assisted living facility and the expansion of a used car lot are on the April 28 docket for the Center Planning & Development Council. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 at the Trailside Center, located at 9901 Holmes Rd.

A locally-owned, nurse-led company, 64 Capital Group LLC, will present a proposed small residential assisted living home for seniors on the property between 12533 and 12661 Holmes Rd. The land currently sits vacant on the west side of Holmes Road just south of Mission Lake Townhomes. The project is designed to provide compassionate care in a quiet residential setting where older adults can age in place with dignity while remaining close to their families and communities, according to the meeting notice. The goal is to develop a thoughtfully designed, well-managed home that blends into the neighborhood while helping address the growing need for senior care.

The second presentation involves the renewal of an expired Special Use Permit for Quick Stop Motors. The permit had been approved or used vehicular sales at the northeast corner of East Bannister and Holmes Roads. A used car lot already exists at the southeast corner of the intersection. The property owner is Basel Daifallah.
