Campus for Animal Care Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The ribbon cutting and formal grand opening of the city’s new Campusfor Animal Care at 7077 Elmwood on the northeast corner of Elmwood & Gregory Blvd. will be at 10 AM Friday, January 24. The no kill facility replaces the city’s undersized and antiquated former animal shelter at 4400 Raytown Rd. Both facilities are operated by the nonprofit KC Pet Project. The organization recently announced it took in 11,109 animals in 2019, an increase of over 600 from 2018, and had a 95.2% save rate for all dogs and cats.
