Center Planning and Development Special Meeting

The Kansas City Neighborhood Advisory Council is hosting a meeting on the digital billboard ordinance on Monday, July 8th from 6-7:30pm at Metro Patrol on 7601 Prospect. Outfront Media billboard company, their attorney and City staff will be there to discuss the ordinance and answer questions.

The strong billboard law that was passed in 2007 does not allow digital on our billboards. This is now being challenged. Outfront wants to change nine of their highway billboards to digital and will take down smaller neighborhood ones on a 7 to 1 square foot ratio, in order for us to agree.

We need neighborhood people there to say we support the current ordinance we passed in 2007 which has national recognition by Scenic America.
