KCMO Police & Neighborhood Mtg @ South Patrol
December 1, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

IMPORTANT NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING
Meeting regarding more police officers for South Patrol: Make sure your concerns are heard and your questions are answered regarding the police budget. We will be joined by Police Chief Rick Smith, South Patrol Major Darren Ivey, Councilmembers Ryana Parks-Shaw, Andrea Bough and Board of Police Commissioner Dawn Cramer. They need to hear from us that we need more because of the increase in crime. Please join us either on Zoom, or in person at South Patrol (9701 Marion Park Dr, back building), on Wednesday, December 1st at 7:00pm. Register here: kcmopolice.eventbrite.com. With questions, call Stacey Johnson-Cosby, 816-591-5921.
In addition to the chief, our neighborhoods will also be joined by South Patrol Commander Darren Ivey, a representative from Metro Patrol, Dawn Cramer from the Board of Police Commissioners has also confirmed (all are invited) and from the city council, Ryana Parks-Shaw and Andrea Bough have confirmed (all 5th & 6th district councilmembers & at large members and the mayor are invited), and the city manager will send a representative.
Our goal is to continue what we consider our regular community meetings with the police chief & commanders, and also others who impact the city’s budget to make sure our voices are heard this time (as opposed to the same day vote) in the budget process to share our ideas and get questions answered in response to our public safety concerns. We desperately need more police officers due to the shortages caused by attrition and the steady increase in crime.
Our meeting will be held in person at the South Patrol station at 9701 Marion Park Dr, and virtually on Zoom (and call in) on Wednesday, December 1st at 7:00pm. All are invited to register at: https://kcmopolice.
