Kansas City Jazz Vespers launches its fifth season with Millie Edwards and her band at the historic First Baptist Church of Kansas City, MO on Sunday evening, September 8, 6:00 – 8:00 pm. First Baptist Church is located in south city at the corner of Red Bridge Road and Wornall Road. Kansas City Jazz Vespers features 100 minutes of popular, professional jazz in a concert setting. It’s free; there are no tickets or reservations. There is a short inspirational interlude between the band’s two acts, with a reception following the second act.
Many fans express appreciation to hear jazz in a concert setting without the interruption associated with serving food or side conversations. Millie Edwards has launched the last four years of KC Jazz Vespers because she is one of the most exciting and engaging performers in the series — always loved by the crowd.
