Missouri’s Back-To-School Sales Tax Holiday
August 7 - August 9

Missouri’s 2026 back-to-school sales tax holiday runs from Friday, August 7 at 12:01 a.m. through Sunday, August 9 at midnight. Both state and local sales taxes are waived on qualifying items, and participation is open to everyone, regardless of residency. [1, 2, 3]
Qualifying items and their price limits include:
- Clothing: Exempt up to $100 per item.
- School supplies: Exempt up to $50 per purchase.
- Personal computers & accessories: Exempt up to $1,500 per item.
- Computer software: Exempt up to $350 per item.
